I have a website hosted on a Windows Server 2008, using IIS 7.5.
Around three times a day, my website is goes down. When I try to open or browse it, I get a
404 Not Found.
I've found that I can make it work if I edit my
web.config file and upload it to server again with FTP.
<compilation debug="false" targetFramework="4.0" />
It works if I toggle the value of the
debug attribute of the
compilation element. This brings the site back online again for five to six hours.
I'm not sure whether this is an issue with the code, the server, or the client.
Has anyone experienced any similar behavior? Is there a more permanent solution than having to change that attribute every few hours?
